The design goal of this project was to provide additional space for patient rooms, medical offices, and updated imaging and diagnostic equipment. The 3-level, stand-alone building includes a new 4-level medical tower, emergency room addition, newly updated South visitor entrance addition, Northwest operating room addition, and a helipad as part of the renovation work. The project also includes a post-tensioned concrete parking garage. The hospital was initially called Mountain View Hospital but has been renamed Idaho Falls Community Hospital to reflect its new capacity to serve patients in Idaho Falls and surrounding communities.
