Spanish Fork Library and City Administration Building
Spanish Fork, UT
As Spanish Fork has undergone significant expansion in recent years, the demands on its public services have also surged. Furthermore, the existing main library has been deemed too small to continue meeting current residents’ needs. The city wanted to design and construct a new facility dedicated to library services and city administration that was authentic to the community of Spanish Fork. The new building includes approximately 33,000 SF of library space and 12,000 SF of city administrative space (city council chambers, finance department, sizeable multi-purpose room). The design features light-toned brick masses and slender windows to pay homage to the adjacent historic Thurber School, which previously housed the city’s administrative offices. Awarded: 2023 Most Outstanding Community/Cultural Project (Utah Construction & Design).
