Petzl North American Headquarters

On track for LEED platinum certification, Petzl’s North American Headquarters is centered on verticality and light. Petzl’s commitment to sustainable practices was a focus during the project, from the construction process to their everyday operations. The design integrates many sustainable features, including: a roof-mounted photovoltaic array natural daylight in all areas of the building and distribution warehouse On-site bioswales to help capture the rainwater from the roof and re-charge the groundwater, A plug-in for electric cars and Recycled materials. The project materials were also purchased within a 500-mile radius. One of the project’s main features is the 55-foot-tall climbing wall, one of the tallest vertically in Utah. The wall creates a fun and exciting environment in the 75-foot-tall office space tower. Through their commitment and values associated with a respect for the environment and the desire to provide a healthy place for its workers and visitors, Petzl’s headquarters is a stand-out for sustainable building and design in the state of Utah.
