Museum of Clean
Pocatello, ID
The 74,000 SF museum is dedicated to the history and art of staying clean and opened in 2006. The building was renovated in 2011 to LEED Platinum standards; this means the building's renovations and operations are of the highest standards for both energy efficient and environmentally friendly use and recycling of materials. BHB assisted in adding a new addition to the museum in 2009. A portion of the new addition consists of approximately 6,800 SF on each of the three levels. The basement and first floor utilize a concrete slab. The second floor is supported with a double T slab system, and an outside area, including plants and trees, was added. Another additional area included a 2-story with a basement and first floor. The building is approximately 4,700 SF on each level. Lastly, an additional 1-story area, approximately 3,400 SF, was added, along with a 110 ft. tall stair tower constructed in concrete.
