The Residence Inn is a 10-story hotel located in downtown Boise. The structure comprises PT floor slabs supported by concrete columns. The shallow depth and long spans of the PT slabs reduced floor to floor heights and minimized the number of columns in the floor plan. Parking is located on the first two levels, where PT transfer beams allowed for columns to be efficiently placed without being constrained by the layout of the residential floors above.
